Elisa and Tommaso's Wedding in Nature
Universe, Milky Way, Planet Earth.
Two people raise their eyes to the sky, they are Elisa and Tommaso. Tommaso, an astrophysicist, shows Elisa a special constellation, the Swan. And he shows her in particular one of its stars, placed at one of its extremes: Albireo.
It is a very special star, because it is actually a double star, that is, made up of two stars, one smaller, one larger, one orange, one blue.
Those two stars can do nothing but revolve around each other, in an eternal dance that will have as its ultimate destiny their fusion. Those two stars can only represent Elisa and Thomas themselves.
Elisa, the warm-colored star, with her head somewhat in the clouds, attentive and passionate.
Tommaso, the cool-colored star, calm, confident, patient and protective.
They both wanted to celebrate a natural wedding, in harmony with nature and the Universe. Together with them and La Sposa degli Aberi we then carefully chose the venue for the civil ceremony, adapting it to our needs: the choice finally fell on a place in the presence of two centuries-old oaks and with the backdrop of a wonderful olive grove, inside the Casacocò venue on the outskirts of Rome.
The day, which started with a bit of rain and strong wind, then gave us beautiful sunshine and a dreamy sunset, and allowed us to run the entire event outdoors, just as we had planned.
Lunch was then able to take place among the rows of olive trees, just as the rest of the reception always had a natural setting, in full harmony with the spirit of the natural wedding that Elisa and Tommaso desired.
Looking back at the photographs of this natural wedding is always as exciting for us as when we experienced it: starting with the moving speeches, both of the bride and groom and the guests, through the songs sung by both Tommaso and the choir made up of fraternal friends, the Backstreet Boys-themed flash mob, and ending with a chilling rendition of Franco Battiato's "The Cure" by Tommaso. By now that song is inextricably linked to them for me, and whenever I happen to listen to it, I can't help but remember those moments.
